The four different peg sizes make this way more interesting than our old stacking toy, since my son actually has to think about which one fits where. The wood base is solid enough that it doesn't slide around on the table when he's playing.

My 2-year-old figured out the stacking on her own within a day, and the color matching keeps her busy way longer than I expected. The base is solid and doesn't slide around on the table, which matters with a toddler.

My three-year-old has been stacking these pegs for weeks and still finds new ways to sort them by color and size. The wooden base is solid enough that it doesn't slide around when he gets excited.
