The pockets let me add a little weight as my son gets stronger, which is exactly what I needed. The squeaker keeps him giggling while he works on his arm control, and the rattle adds just enough noise to hold his attention.

Bought this for my two-year-old and she carries the elephant around all day. The squeaker still works after weeks of abuse, and I like that I can drop a little weight into the pockets as she gets stronger.
