My kids actually ask for this instead of screen time now, and I love eavesdropping on the little stories they invent for each face. The tiles are chunky and smooth, easy for small hands to place. Matching the grumpy tile to a story about a lost shoe got us talking for a solid hour.

The matching-by-facial-expression rule turned out to be the best part — my niece kept narrating why a grumpy tile should pair with a sleepy one, and we learned way more about each other than we did playing anything else. Tiles feel solid too, not flimsy cardboard.

We played these around the coffee table after dinner and ended up talking for two hours just from matching the tile expressions. The facial expression matching is simple enough for my six-year-old but the storytelling prompts got even my quiet husband opening up.
